Hello Yannick, I donât think we had a bias towards Alt-Ergo because for a long time we have used CVC4 and Z3 in our verification pipeline before Alt-Ergo. I suspect, however, that the Alt-Ergo development follows WP and Why3 more closely than the other provers. And I think, Alt-Ergo has really become better over the last years. Also, CVC4 hasnât had a new stable release for a long time (CVC4-1.5 is just a week out and we havenât checked it yet). > In our experience, the usefulness of a prover is that it proves something that other provers don't. > With that angle, most provers are very useful.
