Hello, I had the same problem. my simple solution was to copy the archives: cp /opt/local/include/gmp.h /usr/include cp /opt/local/lib/libgmp* /usr/lib I do not know if there is other solution, for example, to do the opam look for the libraries in the /opt/local/include directory. In advance I will tell you that probably you will find the same problem with other libraries and my solution was to copy the archives too.
